Award a contract to Freeway Electric, the lowest responsible bidder, <br />in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$352,000 for traffic management on Harbor Boulevard, Segerstrom <br />Avenue and Edinger Avenue. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of 5439,900. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project provides for installation of video detections, traffic <br />loops, traffic signal upgrades, and traffic signal interconnects on <br />Harbor Boulevard, Segerstrom Avenue and Edinger Avenue (Exhibit 1). The <br />project will allow staff to communicate with traffic signals, monitor <br />traffic volume and speed, and make adjustments as necessary to traffic <br />signal timing based on real time traffic conditions. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on May <br />were opened on May 30, 2007.
