January 2001 Analyst for the Ventura County LUFMS and Device Management Projects Project: The Resource Management Agency of the County of Ventura used two different software applications for their Device Management and Land Use Financial Management departments that did not satisfy all their current needs and expectations. The Device Management System is a single -user MS Access Application in charge of keeping track of the various weighting and measuring devices subject to county inspection and billing the owners of such devices for the periodic inspections. The Land Use Financial Management System is a Client Server VB /MS SQL Application used to keep track of the Land Use permits and the costs they generate and also billing the applicants of those permits. Responsibilities: • Application Assessment (Programs, Database, Architecture, Security). • Proposal of changes required. • Project Estimating and Detailed Program Planning. • General Solution Technical Architecture Design and Recommendation. November 2000 - January 2001 Developer for the Dole Broker Contest and Code of Conduct Projects Project: Dole is a major worldwide brand of fresh and canned fruit products. The Broker Contest Application allows Dole's broker to log on to Dole's web site in the Internet and enter a Success Story, which is a statement on how they used one of Dole's suggested marketing techniques to improve their product line over the competition in a certain market. The Code of Conduct Application is an internal questionnaire that Dole applies to a sample of its management and higher -level staff to oversee the application of their Ethics Policies. The Application was developed as a highly confidential Intranet web site fully configurable from a MS Access back end. The application has customization features such as database -driven questions and multiple - language selection. Responsibilities: • Module Analysis & Design. • Database Design using SQL Server 7.0. • ASP /JavaScript/HTML. Construction of the Web User Interface using Visual Interdev 6.0. • Unit Testing. • Beta Testing Coordination. • Deployment of the Application to the Production Environment. August 2000 - November 2000 Developer for the Odyssey Data Distribution System Project Project: Odyssey Network is a cable television program service. The Odyssey Data Distribution System (ODDS) is the company's single repository of information for the decision makers. ODDS modules include Cable System & Owner Data, Contact management, Billing, among others. As with any information system, one of ODDS' most important features is its Reporting Subsystem.
