June 2001 - August 2001 Developer for the County of Santa Barbara / Public Works project Project: The Public Works department of the County of Santa Barbara required to continue the development of their main database application for issuance and tracking of Road Encroachment and Transportation permits. The application was originally written in Microsoft Access 97 and one of the requirements was to maintain a single Access 97 back end database with two functionally equivalent front ends, on for Access 97 and one for Access 2000. Additional development included the accounting module a lookup / permanent record feature and numerous user - interface enhancements. Responsibilities: • Architecture, Database design, security, front end / back end development. Multi- version support. • Requirements analysis and management. • Access 97, Construction of Forms, Reports, Queries and Modules._Unit testing. January 2001 - April 2001 Developer for the Universal Studios Online Project Project: Universal Studios Online is a division of the world -class entertainment corporation. The Online division is responsible for development and maintenance of several online e- commerce websites including Spencer Gifts (www.spencergifts.com), the Studio Store (http:/ /store.universalstudios.com), the online ticket store (http: / /tickets. universalstudios.com) for the theme park, among others; as well as an Intranet site for administration and back -end tasks. Construction of the Web User Interface using Visual Interdev 6.0. • Visual Basic 6.0, Design and construction of middle -tier COM objects. • SQL Server 7.0, Database table, view and store procedure design and programming. • Database design review in preparation for a major migration to a different database platform. • Third -party component integration. • Credit Card Processor Interface (CyberCash) maintenance and enhancement.
