Will the proposed use provide a service or facility which will <br />contribute to the general well being of the neighborhood or the <br />community? <br />The proposed California Palms transient/residential hotel will <br />contribute to the general well being of the community by <br />eliminating an existing blighted motel and providing additional <br />housing opportunities for all economic segment of the community <br />through revitalization of an existing motel. It will provide <br />appropriate amenities for children and families living in the <br />California Palms transient/residential hotel, including open <br />space, laundry rooms, landscaping and kitchens. <br />B. Will the proposed use under the circumstances of the particular case <br />be detrimental to the health, safety, or general welfare of persons <br />residing or working in the vicinity? <br />The proposed transient/residential hotel use will not be <br />detrimental to persons residing and working in the area. The <br />Mitigated Negative Declaration (Environmental Review No. 2004- <br />158) identified less than significant impacts associated with <br />the implementation of this project. These impacts will be <br />mitigated through mitigation measures identified in <br />Environmental Review No. 2004-158. <br />C. Will the proposed use adversely affect the present economic <br />stability or future economic development of properties surrounding <br />the area? <br />The proposed transient/residential hotel will not adversely <br />affect the economic stability of the area.
