<br />Benchmark Technical S ecialties <br />Business/Application/Project Consulting Services Category <br /> <br />Project Manager <br />(for purchased package application <br />project) <br /> <br />Duties <br /> <br />. Under the direction of a Team Leader, will keep <br />project on course for schedule, cost and resources. <br />. Assists in planning, organizing, and arranging for <br />staffing. <br />. Heads effort to confirm user requirements. <br />. Coordinates selection phase (e.g., RFP, proposal <br />evaluation, vendor selection, negotiations, internal <br />approvals and contracts). <br />. Assists in vendor management. <br />. Leads data migration. <br />. Helps develop business rules. <br />. Oversees acceptance testing and operational cut <br />over. <br />. Some post implementation transition assistance. <br /> <br />Education/Certification College degree preferred. <br /> <br />Work Experience/Skills/Knowledge/Abilities . Minimum 6 years of Applications & Development <br />Services experience with 3 years in project <br />management assignments. <br />. Must have recent experience as project manager for <br />a successful "off-the-shelf buy" project with a budget <br />of at least $1,000,000 and 4,000 hours of staff effort. <br />. Knowledge of financial system s essential. <br />. Knowledge of government accounting practices and <br />municipal government processes ideal. <br />. Skills in all phases of the application acquisition life <br />cycle needed. <br />. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. <br />. Excellent interpersonal and team skills a must. <br />. Needs an "I'll do whatever it takes" attitude. <br />. Should have PC skilis in word processing, <br />spreadsheet, and project management software. <br /> <br />Other . Must have a valid Class C Driver's license. <br />. Manual dexterity to manipulate computers and <br />keyboards. <br />. Ability to read printed documentation and computer <br />screens. <br />. May have to undergo background investigation by <br />Santa Ana Police Department. <br />
