NEC Unified Solutions as the direct sales and support arm of NEC Corporation <br />sells and supports all NEC manufactrred telecommunications systems. Support <br />of NEC manufactured systems is our core business. NEC Unified Solutions has <br />been providing maintenance support on The City's t!~lecommunications systems <br />since 1985. <br />7. Identify and provide evidence of the Proposer's c:ertification~'authorizations to <br />provide telephone system maintenance for a CENTIGRAM 640 Voicemail System <br />identified in section 4.0 of the RFP. <br />{ref. section 6.2.d} <br />NEC Unified Solutions has been maintaining and supporting The City's <br />Centigram 640 Voicemail System since its initial installation. The proposed NEC <br />Unified Solutions on-site technician and his backups are all certified on the <br />Centigram product. <br />The Centigram 640 Voicemail system currently used by The City was <br />manufacturer discontinued in January 2002. NEC Unified Solutions currently <br />maintains the system via our maintenance contract on a best effort basis. <br />Continued coverage will be under the same stipulations, <br />Please see the attachment Maintenance Renewal letter document 2006 {REV2 <br />Renewal Letter 103966 Santa Ana.doc) which states; NEC Unified Solutions will <br />continue to service the above mentioned syster•ns on a ''Best effort" basis. <br />8. A description of any unique qualifications and experience which distinguish <br />Proposer's ability to provide telephone system maintenance for NEC and <br />CENTIGRAM systems. <br />{ref. section 6.2.d} <br />NEC Unified Solutions is uniquely qualified to maintain The Citys NEC <br />equipment by being the direct sales and support arm of the manufacturer. This <br />gives our employees direct access to technical personnel at NEC headquarters <br />for any assistance required to manage any concerns that may arise. NEC <br />Unified Solutions implemented all 32 of the current telecommunications <br />systerns being used by The City. hiaving implemented all of the current <br />systems and provided maintenance since 1985 gives NEC Unified Solutions and <br />'sn depth knowledge of the infrastructure and v~rorkings of The City that no other <br />company can provide. <br />9. A confirmation of the Proposer°s willingness and capability to agree to and to <br />follow the terms and processes outlined in this RFP and resulting agreement <br />including all administrative and billing procedures of the City. <br />{ref. section 6.2.e} <br />NEC Unified Solutions is willing to continue our support of City of Santa Ana and <br />will follow the terms and processes outlined ir. this RFP and the resulting <br />agreement as we have done for- the past i5 years. <br />Our Risk Management group has made the following comments regarding the <br />insurance requirements and a request for minor changes in the wording of the <br />Agreement included in the RFP. <br />Page 27 of 43 <br />
