<br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Alvarez <br />· Noted that she attended a wedding two weeks ago at a garden in <br />Wilshire Square and it was a very good neighborhood event <br />· Announced that the housing application process opened for Section 8 <br />and that applications will be accepted from October 1, 2007 through <br />November 30,2007 <br />· Asked staff to provide a list of sub-prime lenders operating in the <br />community so that it can be publicized <br /> <br />Councilmember Benavides <br />· Asked staff to explore the concept of creating "Best of Santa Ana" <br />booklet in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and other <br />community organizations <br />. Noted that many children in our schools have experienced financial <br />difficulties in attending college and expressed interest in reviewing a <br />resolution in support of Senate Bill 1 <br /> <br />Councilmember Tinaiero <br />.
