Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br /> <br />The Interval House Domestic Violence Shelter Program will provide assistance to 33 Santa Ana victims of domestic <br />violence and their children through emergency and transitional shelter services. <br /> <br />Types of Services Include: <br /> <br />Emergency Shelter: Emergency shelter programs will offer a safe, caring, and homelike environment for women, <br />adolescents, and children in life-threatening situations and left homeless as a result of domestic violence and abuse. <br />The typical length of stay in emergency shelter is 30-45 days. <br /> <br />Transitional Housing: Since 1982, Interval House has maintained additional homes and programs for those families <br />needing a longer transition period to become self-sufficient, contributing members of their communities. The typical <br />length of stay at our second-stage homes varies from 60 days to 24 months. <br /> <br />Support Services will include individual and group counseling, legal assistance, health and wellness services, social <br />service advocacy, youth violence prevention programs, multi-cultural programs, and other support services needed by <br />victims. <br /> <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
