<br />A. Completion of five (5) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Completion (acquisition) of at <br />educational and/or training units. <br /> <br />least <br /> <br />sixty (60) <br /> <br />C. Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />6.4 Senior Police Officer II. Any sworn, safety-member Police <br />Officer who fulfills the requirements established in this <br />section shall be designated as a Senior Police Officer II and <br />shall be paid at a rate set twenty-five (25) salary rate <br />ranges (12.5%) above his or her then current base monthly <br />salary step in the Police Officer classification. The <br />criteria for such designation shall be as follows: <br /> <br />A. Completion of seven (7) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification. <br /> <br />B. Completion (acquisition) of at least ninety (90) <br />educational/training units; or possession of an Associate <br />of Arts degree from an accredited college with an <br />additional thirty (30) or more educational/training <br />units. <br /> <br />C. Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />6.5 Senior Police Officer III. Any sworn, safety-member Police <br />Officer who fulfills the requirements established in this <br />section shall be designated as a Senior Police Officer III and <br />shall be paid at a rate set thirty (30) salary rate ranges <br />(15%) above his or her then current base monthly salary step <br />in the Police Officer classification. The criteria for such <br />designation shall be as follows: <br /> <br />A. Completion of nine (9) years of municipal police <br />experience in the Police Officer classification. <br /> <br />B. Completion (acquisition) of at least one hundred twenty <br />(120) educational/training units; or possession of an <br />Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college with <br />an additional sixty (60) or more educational/training <br />units. <br /> <br />C. Approval of the Police Chief. <br /> <br />6.6 Senior Police Sergeant~. Any officer holding the rank of <br />Police Sergeant in the Santa Ana Police Department, regardless <br />of duty assignment, who fulfills the requirements established <br /> <br />21 <br />
