The services will support specific City <br />projects as they may be proposed. <br />With a n umber ofcompleted successful term contracts, <br />EIP/PBS&J understands the nature and demands of <br />as -needed environmental service solicitations. Key <br />on-call service contracts or qualified short lists held <br />by EIP/PBS&J include: <br />• Long Beach Redevelopment Agency <br />• City of Long Beach <br />• Orange County Water District <br />• Culver City <br />• Ontario Redevelopment Agency <br />• University of California Los Angeles <br />• Riverside County Economic Development <br />Agency <br />• Los Angeles Unified School District <br />SUBCONSULTANTS <br />To be as responsive as necessary to any issue that <br />may arise, we routinely augment our capabilities to <br />provide more specialized services. The EIP/PBS&J <br />team has a long history of working in California <br />on specific projects that may be requested by the <br />City, including land use planning, CEQA and other <br />regulatory agency compliance, water quality, natural <br />resource assessment, and public involvement. We <br />have composed a team that reflects the diversity of <br />the community in which we live and work. <br />Kaplan Chen Kaplan — Cultural Resources <br />Kaplan Chen Kaplan (KCK) believes that historic <br />preservation can preserve important cultural heritage <br />and provide a useful, sustainable building. They utilize <br />the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Treatment <br />Firm Introduction <br />D2:11W.M05W <br />of Historic Structures and State Historical Building <br />Code to assist in analyzing and preserving original <br />historic design within a safe environment. <br />KCK provides a full range of historic architecture <br />and planning services, including site and facilities <br />analyses, historic research and evaluations, master <br />planning of historic resources, coordination with <br />governmental agencies and reviews, concept <br />documents for approvals and fundraising efforts, <br />architectural design and construction documents, <br />specifications for treatment of historic structures <br />and materials, as well as comprehensive construction <br />phase services. <br />Katz Okitsu & Associates (KOA <br />Corporation) - Traffic <br />The KOA Corporation (KOA) is a consulting <br />engineering firm providing planning and engineering <br />services to government and private sector clients. <br />In January of 1995, the firm was incorporated <br />and merged with Rock E. Miller and Associates to <br />establish its Orange County office. KOA has a staff <br />of over 80 dedicated employees located in five offices <br />(Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, Ontario, <br />and Oakland). <br />KOA has strong expertise in transportation <br />engineering and in project management. They <br />have served in key roles on many of the largest <br />transportation projects in Southern California.
