<br />Orange County Conservation Corps <br />Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board <br />Request for Proposal <br />The Youth Service Provider Network <br />PY 2007/2008 <br /> <br />corpsmembers regardless of their reason for leaving the OCCC are included in the 12 <br />month follow up phase and have access to OCCC staff and resources (computer lab, <br />fax, voicemail) for maintaining employment, job searches, updating resumes, contacting <br />employers, scheduling interviews, enrolling in advanced training or college, help with <br />filling out financial aide forms, and other support needed to pursue post-OCCC <br />employment and education <br /> <br />Many program services overlap and occur simultaneously during the program. OCCC <br />staff are cross trained so that corpsmembers can receive services from various program <br />staff if their assigned staff person is not available. Program Specialist & <br /> Transition Specialist <br /> <br />** Most OCCC corpsmembers are generally adults who support themselves and many <br />may be estranged from their parents for various reasons. Therefore, parent involvement <br />with the program is unusual. Parents are invited to and will most often attend <br />graduation ceremonies and other OCCC events that honor corpsmember <br />accomplishments. However parent involvement with the program beyond attendance at <br />these events is normally not expected. The OCCC does plan several activities during <br />the year to include corpsmembers' parents, significant others, and their children to <br />promote family involvement. <br /> <br />Facilities <br /> <br />Page 17 of 23 <br />
