3. Local, state, and federal elected officials that represent all or a majority of Santa Ana. Close interaction with, and support from key elected officials and their staff can prove very useful as a source of outreach regarding the project, when there are issues and concerns, or there's a need for consensus building. Each office has a full line of communications tools including a website and newsletter that can be utilized to communicate information on a regular basis about the project. Verches Associates' strong relationship with these elected officials and key members of their staff only improves the ability to gain swift access and/or response as required or necessary. Verches Associates proposes to meet or communicate with elected officials on at least a monthly basis and as often as necessary to provide information and updates on the project. · Office of U.S. Representative Loretta Sanchez Direct communications with Congresswoman Sanchez or Raul Luna, her district director · Office of California State Senator Lou Correa Direct communications with Senator Correa or Tammy Tran, his district director Office of California State Assembly Member Jose Solorio or Juan Flores, his district director · Office of Orange County Supervisor Janet Nguyen or Andrew Do, her chief-of-staff, or Monica Banken, deputy chief-of-staff Compensation Verches Associates proposes to provide the consulting services specified above for a period of six consecutive months, beginning September 2007, for a monthly fee of $2500.00 per month. Said fee shall include all labor in accordance with the scope of work and all direct costs related to the same. No additional costs shall be incurred unless expressly approved, in advance, by the City of Santa Ana. The scope of work and work plan shall be divided accordingly, maximizing efficiency and the benefit for the City of Santa Ana. Verches Associates shall meet regularly with the City of Santa Ana to receive updated information on the project and review the outreach program. Verches Associates shall submit a monthly report summarizing it activity and meetings for the month along with its invoice.
