(5) Issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall not be construed as an approval of a violation of the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction. Certificates presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the provisions of this code or of other ordinances of the jurisdiction shall not be valid. a-8S 110.2 Change in use. Changes in the character or use of a building shall not be made except as specified in Section of this code. x-99 110.3 Certificate issued. After the building official inspects the building or structure or the portion thereof which is the subject of a change of owner or occupant and finds no violations of the provisions of this code or other laws which are enforced by the code enforcement agency, the building official shall issue a certificate of occupancy which shall contain the following: The building permit number, if applicable. 2. The address of the building. 3. The name and address of the owner or occupant, as appropriate. 4. A description of that portion of the building for which the certificate is issued. 5. A statement that the described portion of the building has been inspected for compliance with the requirements of this code for the group and division of occupancy and the use for which the proposed occupancy is classified. 6. The name of the building official. 7. Such additional information as the building official may determine to be appropriate. 8. The use and occupancy in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 3 9. The type of construction as defined in Chapter 6. 10. The design occupancy load. 11. If an automatic sprinkler system is provided a statement indicating whether the sprinkler system is required. 12.
