SYSTEM ENGINEERING 5.1 Svstem Desim The Consultant shall provide documentation, including specifications, for the hardware, software and/or other products required for the Next Generation Surveillance System. Each major revision of the deliverable documentation shall be provided to SAPD. SAPD may provide written comments on the specifications that must be addressed by the Consultant. The Consultant shall be willing to hold discussions with SAPD and any other third party vendors that SAPD sees fit. 5.2 Interface Defmition lCD's and functional specifications shall fully define all aspects of the interfaces between the Next Generation Surveillance System and other systems, including all electrical, physical, signal, protocol, logical, timing and other characteristics needed by SAPD not mentioned herein. The lCD's and functional specifications which include Next Generation Surveillance System interfaces are indicated in Table 1. Interface Control Documents and Functional Specifications. The Next Generation Surveillance System will be integrated to any and all interfacing equipment at any SAPD facility and SAPD deemed facility. The Consultant shall provide technical documentation on integration hardware, software, usage, testing, planning, design, engineering, operation and any other required functional uses that SAPD deemed facilities will require the RFPs phases. This support shall be provided through final acceptance. It shall include integration support to identifY and resolve interface incompatibilities between interfacing subsystems. The Consultant shall work cooperatively with those responsible for interfacing subsystems and recommend to SAPD the optimum system solution (irrespective of which subsystem is at "fault") for correcting the deficiency. SUDDort for Facility 5.3.1 Operational Areas The Consultant shall support and or lead all SAPD facility engineering meetings. These meetings shall define the architectural, mechanical, electrical and aesthetic design and engineering for the integration of the Next Generation Surveillance System. The Consultant shall support and assist SAPD for all Next Generation Surveillance System working and operational spaces which shall be analyzed and reviewed to establish design and engineering criteria. 15
