Increase officer presence and enforcement activities to increase the number of arrests in <br />the city as related to vehicle burglaries. <br />2. Increase officer presence and enforcement activities to reduce the number of vehicle <br />burglaries in the city. <br />3. Collaborate and promote information sharing between officers in the City of Lake Forest <br />and other investigative/enforcement units. <br />Quantifiable Performance Measures: <br />1. Anticipated increase in criminal arrests related to vehicle burglaries. <br />2. Anticipated decrease in the number of vehicle burglaries. <br /> <br />Funding: <br />Total Allocation: $12,345.00 <br /> <br />PROACT Contribution: $5,987.33 <br />Administrative Fee (1.5%): $185.18 <br />Funds Retained by City: $6,172.50 <br /> <br />Mission Viejo City: <br /> <br />The City of Mission Viejo proposes to use the 2007 Justice Assistance Grant funding as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Problem Statement: <br />The City of Mission Viejo is experiencing an increase in burglaries, thefts and auto thefts. These <br />crimes need to be addresses through increased patrol and enforcement activities. Due to the <br />current fiscal situation, there is not sufficient funding to cover the overtime costs. The City of <br />Mission Viejo will utilize the JAG funding to cover overtime costs associated with increased <br />patrols and enforcement efforts. <br /> <br />Goal: <br />The goal of our efforts is to protect property and ensure the safety of the residents, business <br />community and visitors within the City of Mission Viejo. <br /> <br />Ob;ectives: <br />The goal will be accomplished by the following: <br /> <br />1.
