Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12-month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br /> <br />The purpose of the Emergency Cold/Wet Weather Shelter (Armory) Program is to provide chronically homeless men, <br />women and children with critically needed emergency shelter during the coldest nights of the year, and access to <br />additional services that promote stability and long-term self-sufficiency. Clients are provided shelter in a safe and <br />warm environment; a nutritious meal; roundtrip transportation to and from the shelter; an opportunity to shower; <br />clothing; and information and referrals to comprehensive essential services that address the needs of the homeless. <br />The Program operates from December 1st through March 31st and uses the Santa Ana National Guard Armory as <br />the shelter facility. <br /> <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12- <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
