<br />and high quality family involvement activities. such as parenting classes. support groups, <br />family counseling, financial literacy and others. <br /> <br />5. Placement in Jobs or Continuing Education: Youth who successfully complete the <br />training program are recommended and hired as mentors or teacher assistants to work in <br />our Learning Academy program that serves over 500 children in the Santa Ana Unified <br />School District. In addition, OCCT AC will provide youth job preparation workshops. <br />participation in job fairs, resume preparation. referrals and job coaching. Out-of-school <br />youth will paid for a 6 month internship in the Learning Academy program or Arts Center. <br />Furthermore. OCCTAC will work in collaboration with the Santa Ana Work Center. Parks <br />and Recreation, YMCA. Boys & Girls Club and other community agencies and refer <br />students for work. In partnership with the Santa Ana College/Centennial Education. youth <br />who have not completed their secondary education will be encouraged to co-emoll in a high <br />school diploma or certification program sponsored by the SAC college. <br /> <br />6. Follow-up and Retention: OCCT AC is committed to provide follow-up services to <br />students after they have completed their planned goals, including mentoring, job coaching. <br />and support services to all 20 WIA participants. Follow-up services will include: <br />* Providing job placement and referral to youth <br />. Providing assistance to students so they can maintain work for at least 6 months through <br />mentorship and support services <br />* Working in partnership with the employers of\\lIA graduates to ensure work success for <br />approximately 3 months. <br /> <br />Facilities <br />Most all of the services provided will be located at the Center. The exception would be, <br />when the program requires interaction and support with partnering agencies and <br />employment related opportunities. One example will be at the various SAUSD school sites. <br />If students reside outside the City of Santa Ana, we will assist them in finding alternate <br />transportation. There is local public transportation. ride-sharing with friends. family or <br />other participants and Metrolink. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The Center operates all year (except major holidays) with the following <br />schedule: <br />Mondav <br />8:30-8:30 <br /> <br />Tuesdav <br />8:30-8:30 <br /> <br />Wednesday <br />8:30-8:30 <br /> <br /> <br />Friday <br />8:30-8:30 <br /> <br /> <br />Sunday <br />Closed <br /> <br />Days <br />Hours <br /> <br />For the past year. we have been operating from a larger facility in Santa Ana. which is very <br />safe. There have been no incidences of any crimes or disturbances. The parking lot is well- <br />lighted and monitored by the Center's staff The area is amidst several businesses. <br />including. the Bowers Museum and diverse residential areas. There are SAUSD schools in <br />the vicinity. as well as easy access to public transportation. Students can take the bus or in <br />some instances walk to the Center. The facility is fully accessible and compliant with the <br />ADA guidelines and regulations. <br />
