Also address integrity) <br /> <br />The Oelschlager House is architecturally significant as an intact example of a Streamlined Moderne-influenced residence in Floral <br />Park. According to the original building permit, dated May 12, 1939, the seven-room residence and garage were constructed for <br />Herman Oelschlager at a cost of $9,000. By 1941, Oelschlager had sold the residence to Hal Crouch, a district manager at Mutual <br />Benefit Life Insurance Company, and his wife Vivian. Ownership changed again in the mid-1940s, when the Crouch family sold the <br />residence to Willard O. Patterson, a manager at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company, and his wife, Marie.
