Public Works
staff is continuing to incorporate a regional long-term and short-term
transit project. One of the tasks that remain to be completed is a video
simulation of the transit vision. The purpose of the video simulation is
to.
• Clarify the City's transit vision and be used to attract private
partnership for a downtown circulation between the SARTC.
• Provide a tool for community outreach.
• Provide an opportunity for Santa Ana to be competitive with other
cities that will be submitting requests to fund Go Local Projects.
To complete the video simulation, the Santa Ana Transit Vision, and Step
One of the Go Local Program, staff recommends an amendment to the
agreement. The amendment is for $350,000 and the cost breakdown is as
follows:
• 50% to prepare video simulation of the Three Project Concept
Components.
• 25% to complete the application for Step One of the Go Local
Project.
• 25$ for contingency.
Staff is currently identifying additional consultant needs for the three
components in Step Two. The City wants to be certain we have the
technical expertise to meet the project criteria and to be competitive
for funding opportunities.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
There is no environmental impact associated with this action.
25GG-2
