AA <br />staff has specialized in economic development, transportation, land use, <br />growth management and housing issues. Services include policy anaysis <br />and research, environmental impact anaysis (CEQA and NEPA), <br />resource inventories, land use surveys, and strategic planning processes. <br />Community Needs Assessments <br />AA completes formal assessments of community needs via market <br />research and focus groups. Assessments include topics such as <br />transportation, employment, family and childcare, housing, community <br />safety, neighborhood beautification, language usage, education, and <br />physical and mental health. <br />GENOVEVA ARELLANO <br />President, Arellano Associates <br />Role: Project Manager <br />Genoveva L. Arellano is president of a consulting firm in <br />community outreach, communications, public policy, <br />urban planning, market research and economic <br />development. She has particular expertise in managing <br />large, multijurisdictional projects, and specializes in the <br />transportation, housing, and economic development. <br />Ms. Arellano serves a diverse set of Southern California communities, <br />building her business as public consultation professionals. Ms. Arellano's <br />key Qualifications include project management, consensus -building, <br />public meeting facilitation, research and writing, data analysis, and <br />strategic planning. Additionaly, Ms. Arellano utilizes her bilingual skills <br />and familiarity with the Latino community for programs that are geared <br />for Spanish-speaking communities. Ms. Arellano is the principal and <br />owner of Arellano Associates, which she established in 1994 to provide <br />professional services to the public and private sectors. <br />YESENIA ARIAS <br />Role: Facilitator <br />Ms. Arias is an Associate for Arellano Associates. In this <br />capacity, Ms. Arias is responsible for community <br />relations, project and event coordination, and public <br />information management.
