The selected consultant will be expected to comply with all applicable Federal and <br />State regulations, local codes, and contract provisions. <br />XVI. CITY'S AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PROGRAM <br />The City has an affirmative action program. The purpose of the affirmative <br />action program is to encourage disadvantaged business enterprises in <br />participation of City projects. The selected consulting firm must establish and <br />submit an affirmative action program to the City before the agreement is <br />awarded. <br />XVI1. CERTIFICATION OF NON-DISCRIMINATION BY CONSULTANTS <br />As suppliers of goods or services to the City of Santa Ana, the firm submitting a <br />proposal shall certify by completing the Certification of Non-Discrimination; <br />attached as Appendix A, that it does not discriminate in its employment with <br />regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin, that it is compliant with all <br />federal, . <br />state and local directives and executive orders regarding non-discrimination in <br />employment; and that it agrees to demonstrate positively and aggressively the <br />principle of equal opportunity in employment. . <br />The proposer must submit the certification with the proposal. A proposal <br />without this certification shall be considered non-responsive and be treated as <br />such. <br />The proposer can make a copy of the certification or type a new certification, <br />provided the content is identical, to be included in the proposal. <br />APPENDIX A <br />CERTIFICATION OF NON-DISCRIMINATION <br />- 9 - <br />25K-20 <br />
