Agreement for Microsoft Volume Licensing <br />January 7, 2008 <br />Page 2 <br />cases, the purchasing is done al carte each time the City purchases a <br />PC/Server or needs to do a product upgrade. By piggy-backing on the <br />County of Riverside agreement, the City will receive substantial savings <br />over either consumer pricing or the standard Microsoft government rates <br />for other volume licensing programs. In addition, the agreement entitles <br />the City to premium services upgrades, patches, revisions and technical <br />support during the 3-year term of the agreement. <br />The recommended agreement includes provisions for the continued use of <br />the Microsoft Select volume license agreement through a piggy-back with <br />the State of California for purchases not qualified or justified under <br />the Enterprise Agreement. <br />Payments are made in annual installments subject to a true-up process <br />with allows the City of add licensing to the agreement through out the <br />term as need to support City requirements. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Funds are available in the Technology Plan (account 109-600-6291). <br />APPROVED AS TO FUNDS AND ACCOUNTS: <br />Francisco Gutierrez <br />Executive Director <br />Finance & Management Services Agency <br />25L-2 <br />
