The site is <br />the campus of Santa Ana College, which contains several educational <br />buildings, athletic ball fields and surface parking lots. <br />The zoning designation for the site is Open Space (O), with the General <br />Plan land use designation currently Institutional (INS). Surrounding land <br />uses include retail and office uses to the north; retail and residential <br />uses to the south; office and retail uses to the east; and retail and <br />residential uses to the west (Exhibits 1 and 2). <br />Project Description <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a tentative parcel map in order to <br />consolidate 26 parcels of land into one lot. The lots were formerly <br />occupied by single-family residential uses and a church that were acquired <br />BI+~ A <br />
