1. Each of the parties hereto, pursuant to the authority <br />granted by 555632 California Government Code, hereby agrees to <br />respond to fire alarms within the territorial jurisdiction of the <br />other party, in accordance with the terms and conditions of this <br />Agreement. <br />2. The fire service to be provided by each City pursuant <br />to this Agreement shall be first alarm fire apparatus, accompanied <br />by a minimum of four men, including a company commander_ <br />3. only standardized interchangeable equipment will be <br />used on responses undertaken pursuant to this Agreement. In the <br />event that either city owns equipment or fixtures which is not <br />standardized or interchangeable, the same will be modified at <br />the expense of such owner -city prior to the use in the juris- <br />diction of the other city pursuant to this Agreement. <br />4. Each city will at its own expense, develop and pro- <br />vide for the necessary cross -connected communications system, <br />including such signal devices as are necessary, and a pre -deter- <br />mined grid system will be developed, designating the response <br />areas for each city, all of which shall be developed in each <br />city at its own cost. <br />5. The service mutually agreed to be rendered pursuant <br />to this Agreement, shall include fire service and rescue service. <br />Each city shall be responsible for providing the additional <br />equipment necessary in the event of a second or third alarm <br />involvement within its own geographical limits. <br />6. Each city warrants and represents that it has suf- <br />ficient equipment to respond to the alarms which shall be assigned <br />to it pursuant to this Agreement, provided, however, that <br />neither city shall be obligated to respond to involvements re- <br />quiring special equipment, not generally used in fire or rescue <br />operations, unless and until it has obtained said special equip- <br />ment.
