<br />COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Bustamante <br />. Noted that there has been a decrease in crime in Santa Ana for <br />seventeen years in a row; also noted that there will be a significant <br />increase in the amount of road work in the City in the coming months <br />. Wished his wife an early Happy Valentine's Day <br />. Asked staff to investigate the condition of the road leading to <br />Centennial High School <br /> <br />Councilmember Martinez <br />. Noted that staff is addressing concerns raised by individuals related to <br />the Renaissance Plan <br />. Asked staff to provide an update on concerns related to the Ware <br />Disposal facility <br />. Noted that the Farmers Market played a significant role in the City's <br />health initiative and asked staff to continue to work on finding an <br />alternative site in the Civic Center for the market <br />. Invited the City's youth to attend her town hall meeting on February 13, <br />2008 and noted that there will be representative from Sallie Mae to <br />discuss college funding opportunities <br /> <br />Councilmember Sarmiento <br />. Noted that the City received an additional $4,000,000 from the Urban <br />Areas Security Initiative Grant Program <br />. Noted that the Santa Ana College was hosting an Earned Income Tax <br />Credit Day this Friday <br />. Encouraged all voters to vote in the Presidential Primary <br /> <br />Mavor Pulido <br />. Suggested that the City continue review of the proposed Renaissance <br />Plan in a more deliberate fashion <br />. Announced that the City was designated as an Enterprise Zone <br />. Announced that there will be new block grant program opportunities for <br />climate change <br />. Asked the Council to adjourn in memory of Alfred Aguirre <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT - at 9:37 p.m. to February 19. 2008 in the Police Community Room, <br />60 Civic Center Plaza, for a Work Study Session starting at 6:00 P.M.
