EXCUSED ABSENCES - None <br /> <br />**END OF CONSENT CALENDAR** <br /> <br />WORK STUDY SESSION <br /> <br />W.SA <br /> <br />Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park Update - Parks, Recreation, and <br />Community Services Agency <br /> <br />Highlights of this work study session are as follows: <br /> <br />· Gerardo Mouet, Executive Director of Parks, Recreation, and <br />Community Services Agency made a presentation and update of the <br />Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park <br />· An update was given on the long range Master Plan, which was <br />adopted in November, 1990; various developments at the Zoo were <br />also highlighted <br />· Zoo signage, marketing ideas, and potential future exhibits were <br />outlined and discussed <br />· Tierra de las Pampas Exhibit campaign is underway to raise funds for <br />design and construction; ground breaking should take place by the end <br />of 2008, and the grand opening in the Summer of 2009 <br />· Jay Trevino, Executive Director of Planning and Building Agency made <br />a presentation on the status of the Saddleback Inn property.
