<br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />. Property owned by the Elks Club; current potential ideas for <br />property include a mixed-use project <br />. Gil Marrero and Amy Atherton gave an update of their efforts for <br />future redevelopment opportunity on the property <br />. Jim Ross, Executive Director of the Public Works Agency discussed a <br />parcel of property directly across the street from the Zoo which the City <br />has entered into an agreement with CalTrans for maintenance <br /> <br />Council discussion ensued and members provided several suggestions for <br />the future of the Zoo. <br /> <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> <br />Steve Baur, Stanley Fiala, and George Garcia raised concerns related to <br />the city; Julie Stroud applauded the presentation given by staff and gave <br />suggestions related to a mascot and future exhibits at the Zoo; Steve <br />McGuigan thanked the Council for having the work study on site at the <br />Santa Ana Zoo, and announced various upcoming events. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />90A CITY MANAGER'S COMMENTS - None <br /> <br />90.B.
