originals shall become the property of the City upon completion of each <br />survey request. <br />D. Set line and grade stakes in accordance with the plans and specifications. <br />Notify the City immediately of any discrepancies or design errors discovered <br />on the plans during staking or when verifying the line and grade of existing <br />improvements at join points. <br />E. Complete the construction staking within the time frame specified on the <br />Survey Request, or (given minimum notice) commence the staking no later <br />than two working days from the receipt of the request, providing continuous <br />service until the request is complete. <br />F. Furnish all office support, labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals <br />necessary to complete the specified surveys. The costs for these items shall <br />be included in the hourly rates and no additional compensation will be allowed <br />therefore. <br />G. Attend meetings with City's staff as required. <br />3 ] CITY RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The City will provide construction plans and specifications for the projects to be <br />surveyed by the Consultant. <br />The City will provide the survey forms to be used during the course of <br />construction staking. <br />4] SCHEDULE <br />Proposals are due in the office of James Ross, Executive Director, Public Works <br />Agency, at 20 Civic Center Plaza M-21, 4th Floor Ross Annex, Santa Ana, before <br />5:00 p.m. on January 30, 2008. <br />5 ] ISSUING OFFICE <br />Santa Ana Public Works Agency, Office of the Executive Director, 20 Civic <br />Center Plaza, 4th Floor Ross Annex, Santa Ana, California 92702. <br />6 ] CONTRACT CONSIDERATION <br />Since total actual cost cannot be pre-determined, a fee for each assigned project <br />shall be negotiated. The Consultant shall be paid based upon hourly rates, the <br />actual hours spent on the project, the unit costs or fixed fee for services <br />rendered. <br />7 ] PROPOSAL REJECTION <br />The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted, and is not <br />liable for any pre-contractual expenses: <br />4
