Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded program, named above, during the 12 -month contract period. <br />320 Persons <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, during the <br />12 -month contract period. <br />320 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />Type in description here. <br />The goal of the THINK Together after school program in Santa Ana is to provide a free, daily academic resource <br />that helps students succeed in school now and encourages high school graduation and higher education by: <br />1. Operating each school day from dismissal time until 6:00 p.m. for 180 days, <br />2. Providing academic intervention in core subjects (reading, math, science) through specific curriculum modules <br />such as AfterSchool KidzLit and Creative Teaching Press math and science curricula, <br />3. Providing daily homework help so students understand and complete assignments, <br />4. Providing daily physical fitness activities and bi-monthly nutrition education, <br />5. Providing a variety of enrichment activities in a "club" format to pique student interest and encourage regular <br />attendance. <br />All program elements are presented by a full-time Site Coordinator and part-time Program Leaders who receive <br />extensive training in curriculum delivery and behavior/classroom management. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
