Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />he Mariposa Family Program is designed to meet the special needs of women and families in Santa Ana in a <br />variety of counseling and life skills education programs. These include: individual, couples, family, group, and <br />crisis counseling, substance abuse education and counseling, parenting classes (in English and Spanish), <br />bereavement counseling and support, therapeutic groups for men, women, children and teens, anger <br />management and other life skills education, occupational therapy assistance, and other forms of counseling and <br />support. As over 80% of the people served by Mariposa are low income, services are provided on a sliding scale <br />to enable clients to receive services according to their ability to pay. Mariposa's goal is to help low-income wome <br />and their families resolve the problems they are experiencing, so that they can go on to lead happy, healthy, <br />productive lives. With respect to Santa residents, our objective is to provide counseling, parenting classes, <br />support groups, and life skills education to at least 150 Santa Ana residents in the course of a year. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter. (Enter number of new Santa Ana clients served each quarter.
