Almost all are served here. This is possible because our sliding scale according to
income is designed specifically to make no and low cost services easily available to low and extremely low
income individuals. Also, our on-site child care removes the potential barrier of where participants can leave
their children while obtaining counseling help. Should we for some reason not be able to provide the services
sought, we then provide the person with three referrals to services that can meet their needs. Thus, 100% are
linked to services sought. Should an occasion arise where that is not the case (which we do not anticipate),
we will log that, so that the percentage it represents can be subtracted from the 100%.
In terms of tracking whether a client has new access to our services (a first timer) or improved access (has
been part of the Family Program in a previous year), we will be adding a question to our 07-08 CDBG
Eligibility Data and Certification Form that will differentiate whether the person has new access or improved
access. The anticipated question will be roughly: Have you participated in Mariposa's Family Program prior to
July 1, 2007? No? Yes? A "no" answer will identify a first timer for this 07-08 year and a "yes" will identify a
person who has previously received services as part of the funded program.
Exhibit A-1
