Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in your response. Only the <br />viewable space will print. <br />Laura's House estimates that during the 2008-2009 contract year a minimum of 10% of the clients served in our <br />Emergency Shelter will be residents of Santa Ana. Laura's House will provide a comprehensive 30-45 day <br />residential shelter program utilizing the ESG Funds (1.8% of total program budget) towards serving fourteen <br />battered women and children who are residents of Santa Ana and are homeless due to domestic violence. The <br />emergency shelter program includes food and clothing; individual counseling; therapeutic and education <br />groups; life -skills and parenting classes; legal assistance; case management and social advocacy with resources <br />necessary for the client to transition from shelter living to independenc and self-sufficiency. <br />Schedule of Performace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter.
