Total number of unduplicated clients (Santa Ana and Non -Santa Ana Residents) anticipated to be served by the <br />funded program, named above, during the 12 -month contract period. <br />203 Persons <br />II. Number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program, named above, during the <br />12 -month contract period. <br />27 Persons <br />Program and Funding Description <br />III. Description of Work - In the space below, describe the program to be funded during the 12 -month contract period. <br />What specific activities will be undertaken during the contract period. Please be concise in vour resnnnca nniv tha <br />viewame space wui <br />This grant will be used to fund a portion of Human Options battered women's shelter. Clients are provided a <br />safe place to stay while receiving food, clothing, individual and group counseling, access to social, legal, and <br />supportive services, job readiness training, job placement, life skills training, and help with finding affordable <br />housing. <br />Clients may stay a maximum of 45-60 days. Each resident is assigned a case manager and a counselor. The <br />case manager helps the client access supportive services while the counselor helps the woman deal with her <br />trauma. All women participate in groups that cover such topics as dynamics of domestic violence, <br />communication skills training, anger management, building healthy relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, <br />parenting skills, budgeting, goal setting, and financial planning. <br />Human Options legal advocate works with each client according to her individual needs. She helps her with <br />applying for a temporary restraining order, accompaniment to court, and resolving child custody issues. <br />The children's program is designed to help the children heal from the effects of violence in their home, to break <br />the inter -generational cycle of violence, and to develop age appropriate emotional and developmental needs. <br />The children all attend the local school. <br />aLAneauie or rerrormace <br />Estimate the number of ONLY unduplicated Santa Ana residents to be served by the funded program during the 12 - <br />month contract period per quarter.
