Award a contract to R.J. Noble Company, the lowest responsible <br />bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the estimated amount of <br />$3,294,332 for construction of Standard Avenue Rehabilitation from <br />Warner Avenue to First Street. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $4,447,300. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Standard Avenue from Warner Avenue to First Street has been identified as <br />a high priority on the City's Pavement Management System (Exhibit 1). The <br />pavement is deteriorating due to weather, age, and heavy usage. Some of <br />the adjacent curbs, gutters, sidewalks and driveway approaches are also <br />in various states of disrepair and require replacement. Once completed, <br />these improvements will enhance the ride quality and visual appearance of <br />the neighborhoods. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on June 11 and 13, 2008, and bids <br />were opened on July 8, 2008.
