STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS APRIL 2008 TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES LSA MISSION STATEMENT Our mission is to provide services in the environmental disciplines to public and private clients with the ability and capacity to affect the existing physical environment. The leadership of the firm is provided by its Principals. They maintain substantive involvement with projects as a means of ensuring high -quality products and balanced professional consultation. Below we present the specific capabilities of the LSA disciplines that would provide services in support of projects assigned by the City. Environmental Planning has been the cornerstone of LSA's professional practice and continues to be one of the firm's key practice areas. LSA's environmental staff includes expert practitioners of CEQA and NEPA and has prepared hundreds of Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs) and Environmental Impact Statements (EISs). LSA's multidisciplinary project teams are assembled to fit the specific needs of each client and project. LSA often provides recommendations on project design refinements and creative alternatives to avoid or reduce significant impacts. We provide documentation required to help regulators make informed decisions and to protect the project from litigation. Working with specialists across disciplines, LSA's environmental planners offer deep knowledge of science and regulations, solid problem -solving skulls, and well-rounded solutions. Our Natural Resources staff is known for its outstanding expertise in evaluation, management, and restoration of biological resources.
