,STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS <br />TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA FOR <br />ENVIRONMENTAL CONSULTANTS -TRAFFIC STUDY <br />FIRM OVERVIEW <br />Founded in 1987, KOA Corporation (KOA) provides planning and engineering consulting services to the <br />public and private sectors. The firm specializes in transportation planning, traffic engineering, street and <br />roadway design. We are a regional firm, based in and work primarily in the State of California. Our project <br />experience ranges from pedestrian safety analysis, bikeway planning/design, project impact traffic studies, to <br />the design of on- and off -site facilities including freeway interchanges, traffic signals and access roads. KOA <br />maintains a fully developed CAD capability for both AutoCAD and MicroStation. Our professional planning <br />and engineering staff members are available to provide the City of Santa Ana with the following professional <br />services. <br />KOA Corporation is a California Corporation (Federal Tax Number 95-4515908) that currently employs <br />110 personnel of which there I registered civil/traffic engineers and 15 professional planners. Currently <br />there are 15 personnel employed at the Orange office.Although we are no longer a DBE, KOA is a SBE <br />under the State of California requirements (attached is our certificate). <br />FIRM RESOURCES & QUALITY CONTROL <br />This firm ensures that all staff maintain current working knowledge in the latest computer software <br />applications involving micro -level traffic analysis, traffic simulation, project controls, word processing, GIS <br />software, and data analysis. We also have strong capabilities, utilizing both Intergraph MicroStation and <br />AutoCAD. KOA has been using CAD design software since our establishment in 1987. <br />KOA is focused on continuous improvement. Consequently, the company has in place a formal Quality <br />itAssurance program for all of our engineering and transportation planning projects. To ensure continuity <br />and adherence to budget and schedule, a Project Manager and project team conducts the project from <br />inception to the completion of the final engineering and/or planning documents.
