Cause a substantial adverse change in the significance of a unique <br />archaeological resource pursuant to defined Section 15064.5? <br />No Impact. The project site is located within an urbanized area that has been <br />previously disturbed; therefore, the probability of discovering archeological <br />resources is considered low. According to the Land Use Element of the City's <br />General Plan, the project site is categorized as neither having <br />historic/archaeological resources nor being located in an archeologically sensitive <br />area. No further study is necessary, and no mitigation measures are required. <br />C. Directly or indirectly destroy a unique paleontological resource or site or unique <br />geologic feature? <br />No Impact. The project site is located within an urbanized area that has been <br />previously disturbed; therefore, the likelihood of discovering paleontological <br />resources is very unlikely. No further study is necessary, and no mitigation <br />measures are required. <br />D. Disturb any human remains, including those interred outside of formal <br />cemeteries? <br />Less than Significant Impact with Mitigation Incorporation. The project site <br />is not known to contain any human remains interred inside or outside formal <br />cemeteries. Discovery of human remains during construction is governed by State <br />Law; work shall cease immediately and the County Coroner shall be contacted to <br />make necessary findings as to the origin and disposition pursuant to Public <br />Resources Code Section 5097.98. If the remains are determined to be of Native <br />American decent, the Native American Heritage Commission (NAHC) shall be <br />notified. The NAHC will identify the ancestry of the remains and determine <br />which course of action should be taken in addressing the findings. Potential <br />impacts would be less than significant with the implementation of Mitigation <br />Measure CULT- l . <br />Mitigation Measures <br />CULT-1 If human remains are unearthed during construction, work shall <br />cease immediately and the County Coroner shall be contacted to <br />make necessary findings as to the origin and disposition pursuant <br />to Public Resources Code Section 5097.98. If the remains are <br />determined to be of Native American decent, the NAHC shall be <br />notified. The NAHC will identify the ancestry of the remains and <br />determine which course of action should be taken in addressing the <br />findings. <br />Geology and Soils <br />A.
