<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Mitigation Measures <br />HAZ-1 If the temporary structures are to be demolished, then as a <br />condition of approval for the project, an asbestos and lead <br />containing materials survey will be performed by a qualified <br />environmental professional before any demolition permit is issued. <br />Said survey will adhere to federal, state, and local regulations and <br />will be sent to the City for approval. If the survey finds ACMs in <br />the temporary structures, then those materials containing ACMs <br />will be removed and disposed of in accordance with federal, state, <br />and local laws and regulations. <br />HAZ-2 If lead-based paint is discovered during on-site investigation, all <br />building materials containing lead-based paint will be removed, <br />transported, and disposed of at landfills that meet acceptance <br />criteria for the waste being disposed. Demolition and removal shall <br />be performed in conformance with federal, state, and local laws <br />and regulations pertaining to lead-based paint. <br />B. Create a significant hazard to the public or the environment through reasonably <br />foreseeable upset and accident conditions involving the release of hazardous <br />materials into the environment? <br />Less than Significant Impact with Mitigation Incorporation. The project is not <br />expected to handle hazardous materials or create a significant hazard to the public <br />or environment in the case of an upset or accident. Refer to response in Hazards <br />and Hazardous Materials (A.), above. No further study is necessary, and no <br />mitigation measures are required. <br />C. Emit hazardous emissions or handle hazardous or acutely hazardous materials, <br />substances, or waste within one-quarter mile of an existing or proposed school? <br />No Impact. The project site is located within a quarter mile of Russell <br />Elementary School but is not expected to impact the school due to the site's lack <br />of handling or generating hazardous materials, acutely hazardous materials, or <br />hazardous wastes. No further study is necessary, and no mitigation measures are <br />required. <br />D. Be located on a site which is included on a list of hazardous materials sites <br />compiled pursuant to Government Code Section 65962.5 and, as a result, would it <br />create a significant hazard to the public or the environment? <br />No Impact. The project site is not listed on any Federal, State, or local (Santa <br />Ana Fire Department) list as a hazardous materials site. No further study is <br />necessary, and no mitigation measures are required. <br />E.
