<br />' No Impact. There are no public airports in the City of Santa Ana; however, John <br />Wayne International Airport is located one-mile southwest of city limits, and <br />approximately 7.3 miles southwest of the project site. Consequently, the proposed <br />project is not located within atwo-mile radius of-any airport and therefore, the <br />proposed project would not result in a safety hazard for people residing or <br />' working in the project area. No further study is necessary, and no mitigation <br />measures are required. <br />' F. For a project within the vicinity of a private airstrip, would the project result in a <br />safety hazard for people residing or working in the project area? <br />No Impact. The project site is not located in the vicinity of a private airstrip. The <br />' closest heliport is located at the Orange County Sheriff's Department 2.9 miles <br />away and would not result in a safety hazard for people residing or working in the <br />' project area. No further study is necessary, and no mitigation measures are <br />required. <br />G. Impair implementation of or physically interfere with an adopted emergency <br />' response plan or emergency evacuation plan? <br />Less than Significant Impact with Mitigation Incorporation. According to the <br />' Public Safety Element of the General Plan, the City of Santa Ana maintains an <br />Emergency Services Plan. The purpose of this plan is to provide direction and <br />gutdance for officials and citizens in the event of an emergency, which may <br />' include earthquakes, floods, major fires andJor explosions, industrial accidents, <br />bomb threats, and so forth (City of Santa Ana, 1998: 18). The proposed project <br />will not interfere with any adopted emergency response plan or emergency <br />1 evacuation plan. In addition, a Traffic Management Plan (TMP) would be <br />implemented to ensure that activities associated with construction of the proposed <br />project would not interfere with emergency response vehicles or evacuation plans. <br />Refer to response in Transportation and Traffic (A.). <br />H. Expose people or structures to a significant risk of loss, injury or death involving <br />wildland fires, including where wildlands are adjacent to urbanized areas or <br />' where residences are intermixed with wildlands? <br />No Impact. The project site is located in an urbanized sector of the City, <br />' surrounded by developed parcels. The immediate vicinity of the project site does <br />not contain any wildland-urban interfaces that are susceptible to wildland fires. <br />No further study is necessary and no mitigation measures are required. <br />Hydrology and Water Quality <br />A. Violate any water quality standards or waste discharge requirements? <br />' Less than Significant Impact with Mitigation Incorporation. The proposed <br />project is not expected to have any special waste discharge requirements other <br />than the connection to the public utility sewer.
