INTERIOR DEMOLITION, INC. HACLA <br />ASBESTOS ABATEMENT PLAN JOB 9800 GRAPE ST <br />#2138 LOS ANGELES. CA 90002 <br />7. Use scaffolds capable of supporting at least four times the intended load. <br />8. Climbing of any scaffold braces or supports not specifically designed for access <br />is prohibited. <br />C. Electrical <br />1 De -energize all circuits to the asbestos control area at the circuit breaker <br />panels. All electrical circuits in the asbestos control area shall be locked out at <br />the circuit breaker panel with padlocks. The padlock keys shall be provided to <br />the on -site Supervisor and Qualified Person (QP) only. <br />2. Electrical circuit breaker panels that are locked out shall be tagged with <br />appropriate labels designating that the panel is to remain locked. Label shall <br />also indicate whom to contact to gain access to the panel in case of <br />emergency. <br />3. Circuits in the asbestos control area shall be tested to determine of they have: <br />been de -energized. <br />4 All electrical power for electrical equipment, portable ;land tools, and extension <br />cords shall be provided through GFCls. <br />5. Use only shatterproof, guarded bulbs and heavy-duty wiring for temporary <br />lighting. <br />& All electrical system lines and cords must not be allowed to lie in water. <br />D. Personal Protective Equipment <br />All personnel required to enter the asbestos control area must use all of the <br />protective devised indicated herein. <br />a. Respirators <br />Half -face Negatively Pressured -Air -Purifying Respirators (NPAPR) with <br />HEPA fitter shall be adequate when removal of non -friable asbestos <br />containing materials is being conducted. Powered Air -Purifying <br />Respirators (PAPR) with HEPA filters shall be used during the removal of <br />triable asbestos containing materials. <br />b. Protective Clothing <br />Disposable suits with attached hood and boot covers designed for <br />asbestos abatement, rubber gloves, and rubber boots shall be worn by all <br />personnel entering the asbestos control area.
