IZUMITA, FASLA - Senior Principal <br />With more than thirty-six years experience, Mr. Izumita has <br />been honored with a Fellowship by the American Society of <br />Landscape Architects in 1990 and has been noted as the <br />Most Distinguished Alumni of the Year Award from <br />California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in 1988. <br />As president and founder of ima+design, he has developed <br />a unique style and approach in serving clients. A <br />consummate professional, he reviews projects from design, <br />problem solving and programming points of view, drawing <br />on his experience in research and project design. He has a <br />special interest in dealing with unique socio-economic <br />issues, which leads to his involvement of coordinating <br />multi -disciplinary teams of planners, architects, engineers, <br />economists, graphic artists and other specialists to develop <br />innovative master plans and creative, cost-effective <br />implementations. His background includes creative, diverse <br />experience in providing landscape master planning and <br />design solutions for resorts, theme parks, new communities, <br />mixed-use commercial, mixed-use residential, entertainment <br />and corporate development. <br />ANN YAMASHIRO CUTNER, ASLA - Principal <br />Ms. Cutner is a landscape architect with over twenty years <br />of experience, managing the service and product quality <br />provided by ima to some of the development industry's <br />most prominent names. Her innate ability to understand <br />and define the critical issues of projects, combined with her <br />highly developed skills in bringing the design and <br />implementation team into focus on those issues has <br />consistently resulted in acclaim from clients. Ms. Cutner's <br />record for on time, on budget delivery is commendable. <br />Representative Projects: <br />Corner Stone Village / Minnie Street + City of Santa Ana <br />ima + Design met the needs of the City of Santa Ana to <br />improve the Minnie Street neighborhood, by working with <br />owners to invest in overdue property improvements. The <br />City of Santa Ana agreed to updated landscaping, parking <br />and streetscape improvements to eliminate blight, deter <br />crime and improve a sense of community pride. Their <br />landscape plan for this densely populated neighborhood <br />included entry monuments at Minnie Street and McFadden <br />Avenue as well as mid -block on Grant Street and Wakeham <br />Avenue. Minnie Street became a narrow, one-way street to <br />reduce cut -through traffic and provide wider landscaped <br />sidewalks and medians. <br />The Los Angeles International Airport + Los Angeles World <br />Airports <br />Improvements included new streetscape along Century <br />Boulevard, signage and a garden portal at the <br />Sepulveda/Century interchange. Future improvements call <br />for new streetscape along Sepulveda Boulevard and <br />enhanced landscape throughout the Central terminal. <br />15 <br />
