Proposal for Parking Citation Services City of Santa Ana — November 5, 2008 <br />4. Special Collections (PC1463.28) - NOT APPLICABLE IN EVERY COUNTY, <br />REQUIRES <br />COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS APPROVAL. Increases in bail from 1988 - <br />current after 7/1/93, the special collection fund will be for any bail increase from <br />8/16/88 - 7/1/92. <br />5. Handicap linkage - (PC 1465.5), 20% of the collected revenue $2.00 every $10.00 <br />collected. <br />NOT APPLICABLE EVERY COUNTY REQUIRES COUNTY SUPERVISORS <br />APPROVAL. <br />6. Handicap Assessment fee (PC 1465.6), 10% of $250.00 effective date 1/1/93. This <br />would apply to citations issued after 1/1/93; bail amount for handicap should be set <br />at $250.00. This does not apply to violations issued prior to 1/1/93, or a better way <br />to distinguish is that the bail collected must meet or exceed $275.00 for this <br />surcharge to take place. <br />7. Registration Violations, CVC 5204 (CVC 40225) Registration Violation - revenues <br />collected after 7/1/93 will be split 50/50 with the state. NOT applicable to pay Jail <br />and Court surcharges. <br />8. Equipment violations (CVC 40225) revenues collected after 7/1/93 will be split 50/50 <br />with the state. NOT applicable to pay Jail and Court surcharges. <br />Our system will account and adjust for the following: <br />❑ Double Payments - made within the same month would be reported as only one <br />valid surcharge, <br />❑ Partial payments - would not be reported until final payment is made, <br />❑ Payment Plan /Promissory notes - would not be reported until final payment is made, <br />❑ Bank returned checks - The number of citations (paid) would be reduced, <br />❑ Refunds - The number of payments would be reduced to account for any refunds, <br />❑ Paid citations from a registration or equipment violation are not applicable for <br />surcharges other than those listed above (number 7 and 8), which does not include <br />the other $5.00, <br />❑ Citations paid (in the previous month) at the DMV. <br />40 <br />
