CA 9270] <br /> <br />lEl: 714..571 D500 <br />FAX:714.571.G600 <br /> <br />EXHIBIT <br /> <br />I <br />A..:;; <br /> <br />December 1 , 2008 <br /> <br />Ms. Nancy Edwards <br />City of Santa Ana <br />Assistant Director of Community Development <br />20 Civic Center Plaza <br />Santa Ana, California 92702 <br /> <br />RE: Proposal lor Architectural Services <br />Fiesta Marketplace Parking Structure & <br />Downtown PlannIng Services <br /> <br />Nancy, <br /> <br />I am pleased to submit this proposal for architectural services lor the above referenced project. <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> <br />General Archllectural PlannIng Services: <br />The Project Includes general Downtown Santa Ana architectural design planning services. <br />These services may include but not be limited to general overall conceptual Programming I <br />Master Planning for various Improvements throughout the general Downtown Area as may be <br />directed by the City in addition to the specific Project noted below. <br /> <br />Fiesta Marketplace ParkIng Structure: <br />The Fiesta Markelplace Parklng Structure Is located on two parcels of City owned land Ironting <br />East Fifth Street and extending to the alley between Fifth and Fourth Streets. The Westem <br />parcel is located between Birch Street and Spurgeon Street while the eastern parcel is located <br />between Spurgeon Street and French Street. The maIn access to both parcels is from <br />Spurgeon Street. The Project consists of two public multi-story open parking struclures with <br />vehicular and pedestrian circulation. <br /> <br />The Fiesta Marketplace Parking Structure Project generally inciudes la~ade remodel I <br />renovation I modemization and adjacent frontage urban slreetscape enhancements including <br />connection of the main entry circulation at Spurgeon Slreet across Fourth Street to the private <br />promenade south of Fourth Street. <br /> <br />Our understanding Is that the City desires to renovate and modernize the existing building <br />facades by creating a new architectural vision for the overall downtown development within the <br />'Fiesta Marketplace" area. General improvements may include, but are not limited to the <br />following; <br /> <br />. Slreetscape improvements including both hardscape and landscape enhancements, <br />vehicular parking circulation I controls, street furniture, graphics and signage. The new <br />improvements wilt be coordinated with and complement the relationships to the adjacent <br />retail and business developments. Improvements along the Spurgeon Street entry from <br />Fifth Street through to Fourth Street would be integral with the current streetscape <br />improvements recenlly completed by the City. <br /> <br />.
