Award a contract to Econolite Traffic Engineering & Maintenance, the <br />lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with unit bid prices in the <br />amount not to exceed $70,000 for construction of Traffic Signal <br />Capital Improvement - Pedestrian Equipment Upgrade project. <br />2. Approve a Funding Analysis with a total estimated construction cost <br />of $85,000. <br />DISCUSSION <br />This project provides for replacement of outdated pedestrian heads and <br />push buttons to bring them into compliance with current traffic signal <br />standards. The replacement will be done at various signal locations <br />throughout the City and will be done on an as needed basis. <br />The project was advertised with unit pricing and an estimated quantity <br />for bid comparison purposes. The total contract amount is awarded based <br />on the available funding. <br />The Notice Inviting Bids was advertised on March 16 and 18, 2009, and <br />bids were opened on March 31, 2009.
