e) Drain inlets shall be checked and if necessary cleaned once per day to avoid <br />flooding of areas during inclement weather. <br />15. Other Requirements <br />a) Work Not Scheduled <br />The Director may delete a portion of or the entire work site from contractual <br />maintenance during a construction period or any period where the Director <br />determines that work cannot be scheduled. The deletion of this portion of work <br />will be reflected as a reduction in the monthly payment to the Contractor. The <br />amount of reduction will be based on the percentage of area involved and <br />agreed upon by the City and the Contractor in writing. <br />16. Special Maintenance <br />a) Annual City Employee Picnic at Birch Park -Once per year in August or <br />September the City holds their Employee Picnic at this park. On the day of the <br />picnic the Conti°actor shall provide one (I) Leadworker and two (2) employees <br />to help maintain the park during the course of the event. The event generally <br />starts at 10:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm. Maintenance duties during the event <br />shall include, but not be limited to, trash and litter pick-up, emptying trash <br />receptacles, cleaning up spills, washing down areas, brooming off areas, etc. <br />b) Downtown Civic Center Grounds and Landscape -The Downtown Civic Center <br />Authority Area is the home of federal, state, county and city government for <br />Orange County. The classification of maintenance required at this site is <br />considered "high-end commercial." In addition to the standard Grounds- <br />Landscape Specification the following special maintenance shall be performed. <br />(l) All pedestrian hardscape areas, including but not limited to, plazas, <br />malls, sidewalks, pedestrian street crossing, vehicular drop-off areas, etc. <br />shall be blown and/or swept clean daily seven (7) days per week. <br />Contractor is not responsible for blowing parking lots, only litter <br />removal. Contractor is not responsible for pressure washing. <br />(2) All site amenities, including but not limited to, signage, benches, <br />hand railing, electrical boxes, public telephones, newspaper machines, <br />trash receptacles, drinking fountains, cigarette urns, light bollards, etc. <br />shall be completely wiped clean with a germicidal cleanser and polished <br />to a high luster with an approved product Monday through Friday. <br />(3) All trash receptacles shall be emptied daily seven (7) days per week <br />and replaced with new trash liners. The Contractor shall install trash <br />liners so as not to be seen on the exterior of the receptacles. The <br />Contractor shall be responsible for replacing missing trash receptacle lids <br />and interior waste receptacles when missing. Lids and interior waste <br />receptacles shall be provided by the City. <br />zs <br />25C-120 <br />
