b) The contractor shall rake, hand remove, or vacuum leaves that are not absorbed <br />by planting. This shall be done as often as required to maintain a neat <br />appearance. <br />c) After heavy windstorms or other inclement weather that impacts sites under this <br />agreement, the Contractor shall bring in extra staff to clean all parks areas within <br />two (2) days at no cost to the City. Debris, such as but not limited to, litter, <br />fallen branches, trash, limbs, branches, soil erosion, etc., shall be removed from <br />the worksites. <br />d) The Contractor shall keep sidewalks and all other paved areas swept and free of <br />any debris, dirt, glass, weeds, leaves, etc. at all times. <br />e) Drain inlets shall be checked and if necessary cleaned once per day to avoid <br />tlooding of areas during inclement weather. <br />I ~. Other Requirements <br />a) ~Vorl: Not Scheduled <br />[~he Director may delete a portion of or the entire worl: site from contractual <br />maintenance during a construction period or any period where the Director <br />determines that work cannot be scheduled. The deletion of this portion of work <br />will be retlected as a reduction in the monthly payment to the Contractor. The <br />amount of reduction will be based on the percentage of area involved and <br />agreed upon by the City and the Contractor in writing. <br />16. Special Maintenance <br />a) Annual City Employee Picnic at Birch Park -Once per year in August or <br />September the City holds their Employee Picnic at this park. On the day of the <br />picnic the Contractor shall provide one (1) Leadworker and two (2) employees <br />to help maintain the park during the course of the event. The event generally <br />starts at 10:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm. Maintenance duties during the event <br />shall include, but not be limited to, trash and litter pick-up, emptying trash <br />receptacles, cleaning up spills, washing down areas, brooming off areas, etc. <br />b) Downtown Civic Center Grounds and Landscape -The Downtown Civic Center <br />Authority Area is the home of federal, state, county and city government for <br />Orange County. The classification of maintenance required at this site is <br />considered `'high-end commercial." In addition to the standard Grounds- <br />Landscape Specification the following special maintenance shall be performed. <br />(1) All pedestrian hardscape areas, including but not limited to, plazas, <br />malls, sidewalks, pedestrian street crossing, vehicular drop-off areas, etc. <br />shall be blown and/or swept clean daily seven (7) days per week. <br />Contractor is not responsible for blowing parking lots, only litter <br />removal.
