12.2.1 Contractor shall check and program the automatic irrigation controller <br />minimum one time per week. <br />12.2.2 Contractor shall provide any areas of the turf supplemental watering <br />using a garden hose on an as needed basis to assure a high quality turf <br />infield. <br />12.23 infield turf shall be fertilized one (1) time per month February apply <br />Nitro King 22-4-4 and March, April, May, June, July, August, <br />September apply Turf Supreme 16-6-8 at a rate of one (1) pound of <br />actual nitrogen per 1,000 square feet of turf. <br />12.2.4 Contractor shall distribute the fertilizer evenly using a mechanical <br />broadcaster. No hand distribution will be allowed. <br />12.2.5 Immediately following fertilization the Contractor shall water in the <br />fertilizer to avoid chemically ``burning" the turf. <br />12.3 Infield turf shall be aerated using a walk behind piston type aerator two (2) times per year, <br />in January and July. All cores shall be removed. Dragging of cores is not permitted. <br />12.4 [ntield turf shall be kept weed free at all times. <br />12.4.1 Any grasses other than the original hybrid Bermuda installed in the <br />infield shall be eradicated immediately upon notice. The Contractor may <br />choose the method of eradication, however, may not damage the turf. <br />12.4.2 Any broadleaf weeds shall be eradicated immediately upon notice. The <br />Contractor may choose the method of eradication, however, may not <br />damage the turf. <br />12.5 Infield turf shall be kept free of disease and rodents at all times. <br />12.5.1 The Contractor shall be responsible for identifying and treating any diseases or <br />rodents immediately upon notice. <br />12.6 Infield turf annual renovation <br />12.7 Each year the infield turf shall be renovated: 1) verticut using the greens reel mowers <br />straight blade reels; 2) mowed to '/4" high immediately following verticutting; 3) <br />overseeded during spring/summer with LaPrima XD Bermuda Seed at a rate of 8 <br />pounds of seed per 1,000 square feet and fall/winter -Stover Seed Company Grand <br />Slam seed at eight (8) pounds per 1,000 square feet; and, 4) top dressed immediately <br />following seeding by Aguinaga Materials using "Santa Ana Top Dress Mix." <br />ai <br />25C-45 <br />
