CITIZENO85ERVER The Leader in community policing alert tools
Alert Notification Toolset Overview
The primary components of CitizenObserver's web based toolset are Outbound Alerts, Mapping of Alerts, and
Inbound Anonymous Communications.
Outbound Alerts
Alerts provide a means to instantly inform the community about incidents of importance.
• Alerts are delivered instantly via e-mail and text message.
• Alerts are automatically published to the web and may be published to your own website.
• Standardized, step by step "wizard" process make it easy to enter alert information, suspect descriptions,
upload images, attach web links or video, and target receivers.
• CitizenObserver's system manages the rest once you've created and sent the alert.
Alert Targeting
Alerts may be targeted so recipients only receive information that is pertinent to them (i.e. crimes, open cases, or
other incidents of importance).
The following are various ways to target alerts:
• Specific business types (media, banks, pharmacies, pawn shops, etc.)
• Citizens in the community by zip code or radius
• External Public Groups created by your agency (neighborhood groups, BID, schools, etc.)
• Secure Private Groups created by your agency for more sensitive communications (S~~'AT, security
directors, etc.)
