RESOLUTION NO. 2009-029 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NOS. 82-110 AND <br />91-066 TO EFFECT CERTAIN CHANGES TO THE CITY'S <br />BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLANS. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: <br />A. Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of Santa Ana <br />requires the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a position <br />classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and regulations <br />and the approval of the City Council. <br />B. On August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution No. <br />82-110 revising and re-establishing the Basic Classification and <br />Compensation Plan for Officers and Employees of the City of Santa Ana. <br />C. On July 1, 1991, the City Council passed and adopted Resolution <br />No. 91-066, re-establishing the Basic Classification and Compensation <br />Plan for classifications of employment designated as unrepresented <br />Executive Management (EM) and Middle Management (MM). <br />D. With the adoption of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2009-2010, the <br />City Council authorized certain organizational, staffing, and compensation <br />changes which affect a number of classification titles in the City's Basic <br />Classification and Compensation Plans. <br />E. It is now desired to amend Council Resolution Nos. 82-110 and 91-066 to <br />effect these changes. <br />Section 2: That Section 3 Assignment of Classes of Employment To Salary <br />Rate Ranges of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, be further amended by: <br />A. Adding, in alphabetical sequence, the following classification titles at the <br />monthly six-step salary rate ranges indicated: <br />Classification Title 6-Step Salary Rate Ranae (AA-E) Effective 7/1/09* <br />SRR Monthly Salary <br />Minimum-Maximum <br />Accounting Assistant/Systems <br />Technician 586 $3640 - $4648 <br />Bibliographic Technician 585 $3622 - $4624 <br />Resolution No. 2009-029 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
