All records shall be legibly written or printed. These record logs shall <br />become property of the City. <br />(c) Pre-timed Overhead Flashing Beacons: <br />(i) Maintenance period: <br />The Contractor shall perform a complete inspection and service of each <br />Flashing Beacon once a month, not less than 25 days or more than 35 days <br />apart, for safety, operation and cleanliness <br />(ii) Tasks: <br />• Cabinets: <br />The cabinets for solar powered flashing beacons are small NEMA <br />cabinet pole mounted at approximately 9'. <br />The Contractor shall clean the cabinets thoroughly on the inside, <br />including all components. The Contractor shall remove all unauthorized <br />external attachments such as notices, posters, signs, etc. and notify the <br />City of any graffiti that is on the signal equipment. It is not the <br />Contractor's responsibility to remove the graffiti <br />The air filter shall be replaced and dated every 90 days (regardless of <br />condition). <br />• Battery System: <br />Contractor shall check system operating voltage and battery life. <br />Notify the City if battery needs replacement. <br />• Field Equipment <br />The Contractor shall check all beacons, poles, and standards. <br />Contractor shall check and notify the City of any missing or damaged <br />traffic signs mounted on the traffic signal poles. <br />Clean the solar panels in accordance to the manufacturer's <br />recommendation. This is required to be done once every 6 months. <br />• Maintenance Record <br />The Contractor shall maintain a record log in each controller cabinet <br />showing the date and time of any service. It shall consist of: <br />a. Routine Maintenance <br />b. Extraordinary Maintenance <br />All records shall be legibly written or printed.
